Procedure to exercise ARCO rights (access, rectification, deletion, and objection)
Current data protection legislation gives citizens the right to access, rectify, delete, and object

1 – What are ARCO rights?
Right to access is the right for the data subject to obtain information on whether their personal data is being processed, the purpose of that processing, and the information available about the source of such data and the disclosure that has been made or is intended to be made of this data. Pursuant to the right of access, the data subject may obtain from the
data controller information on specific data, data included in a given file or all the data that are processed. In no event may the right of access involve access to the personal data of third parties.
Rectification → is the right of the data subject to cause inaccurate or complete data to be modified.
Deletion → When and if the data subject becomes aware that their data are inadequate or excessive, they may request their deletion.
Objection → The data subject may also object to the processing of their personal data if they have substantiated and legitimate reasons related to a specific personal situation, provided a law does not provide otherwise.
2 – How may I exercise these rights?
Data rights are highly personal and must be exercised by the data subject with the file controller and require that the data subject prove their identify with said controller. The representative of the data subject may also exercise these rights if the data subject is disabled or a minor and this prevents them from exercising them personally. In this case, it will be necessary for the legal representative to provide proof that they are acting in the name of the data subject.
